Office Wear

Due to the Eid Al Adha Holidays, i was at work for only 4 days - Monday - Thursday.  Thats from October 29 - Nov. 1.  And sadly, i did not get to experience the free transpo this year (Nov. 1).  But, i was able to capture 3 of my office outfits.

Koton dress and Paul Smith flats.  Belt came with the dress.

Stradivarius Blazer, Sacoor Brothers inner short sleeve shirt and my 3-year old Aigner trousers. This entire outfit is bursting.  Either they shrunk too much or i expanded a lot.  Shoes by CL simple pump 70mm which has been with me for 2 years now.

Turtle neck Shirt by Rico Salandanan (a local designer from my home country), skirt by Esprit, belt from River Woods. Shoes is the CL simple pump 70mm. The skirt comes with a belt (sash type) in the same color and material which i just tie in front like  a bow.  But i chose not to use it this time to break the tone.

Pink Walkathon

Every year Burjuman Mall holds its pink walkathon in support of the Breast Cancer Awareness during the month of October.  Since 2007, i would register in this activity but joined the actual walk only 4 times (including this year which was today, Nov. 2, 2012).  Not that i don't like to walk 2 kms. but because i miserably failed to wake up early.  Walk starts at 8:30 am so i had to be out of the house by 7 am which means waking up at 6 am. 

Friday being my only day off is the day that i want to wake up at my own time.  But friendships PO, AO and MA are coming so i decided to put my heart into becoming an early riser.  Friendship JG called me the night before enticing me to participate, but we never got to see each other as there were throngs of people.  We didn't even get to see friendship PO during the opening ceremony and the walk. 

This year the walkathon was held at Zabeel Park which is close to my flat.  The music woke me up so there's really no reason not to go.

I decided to slather my face with the Bioderma spf 100 sunblock instead of Kiehl's spf 50 and 25 even if my moisturizer already has spf 20. Sun protection to the max..lol!

i sweated after the walk.  i don't know if it was because of the walk or the weather.  when i'm out at 35C, i always sweat even just by standing (much like a sauna). but yeah, the atmosphere was sooo much fun and festive...

dessert was 30th Anniversary Chocolate Cake Cheesecake (whew, that was long!)

we all shared this 1 slice...

IHOP

Me, friendships PO, AO and MA had our Eid lunch yesterday (Oct. 27) at International House of Pancakes (IHOP) Mall of the Emirates (MOE).  I booked the table at 12:15 and was told that 1 hour was needed to get one.  My stub showed that i needed to come back at 1:16 pm.  Whew, i dunno if queueing was a must regardless of what day it was or it just so happened to be a holiday and everyone was out.

i want to get from the kid's meal but i was told that i can only do so if there's a kid in the group (sad...sob, sob, sob...) i want the mac and cheese and silver five (the last 2 photos)

our drinks....iced tea (soo bitter and bland that i had to put 2 cups of sugar syrup, 1 pouch of white sugar and squeeze the lemon garnished on the glass)

well, the coffee pot gets empty, they just refill (for as long as you want to drink). with caplets of fresh milk

me, friendships AO & PO ordered the Big Steak Omelette - big indeed!!! - and 1 for each of us lol..so 3 in all

i only finished half of the omelette as i suddenly felt sick - weak and dizzy.  i thought i was going to faint. maybe because  i did not have any food intake until 2:00 pm when the food was served. i was like in a rush to eat. i had to order sparkling water to help me burp.

and here's the pancakes that came with the omelette - 3 layers

i had to taste even just a small portion (nothing spectacular though)
